Dear Arlington Business Community Member,
In summer 2018, Arlington County will break ground on the new Long Bridge Park Aquatics & Fitness Center. Located at the north end of Crystal City, this is the next step in the implementation of the Long Bridge Park master plan. The first phase of the park opened in 2011, and includes three synthetic turf soccer fields, rain gardens, the esplanade, and other amenities.
The new center will feature a 50-meter pool, and will include one-meter, 3-meter, and 5-meter diving. A leisure pool with play elements, and an 8,000-sf fitness center are also included. The 10 acres of new park development will add public gathering areas, rain gardens, parking, casual use space, and complete the esplanade.
The new Park and Aquatics & Fitness Center is anticipated to open in winter 2020/2021. When the new center is opened, fees will be charged for use of the facility that are expected to include memberships, passes, and facility rentals. The following is a survey that asks for your input regarding what you feel are the appropriate fees to be charged. With the feedback from the survey and other engagement efforts, County staff will make recommendations on a fee package to the Arlington County Board.
